TypeExtensionsTypeQualifiedName Method

Utility to be used by implementers to create a manifest from the type. The manifest is used to look up the type on deserialization.

Syntax

public static string TypeQualifiedName(
	this Type type
)

static member TypeQualifiedName : 
        type : Type -> string

Type: String
Returns the type qualified name including namespace and assembly, but not assembly version.

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type Type. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).
